In this role, you will:
- Leverage solid understanding of the functions, policies, procedures and ensure activities are in compliance with AAR and FRA regulations and requirements and US DOT regulatory standards
- Review and approve freight car repair estimates and invoices to facilitate the repair and maintenance of the Wells Fargo Rail fleet through a significant third party repair network.
- Participate in complex initiatives and deliverables within Rail Operations that impact the existing and new rail car and fleet assets
- Contribute to large-scale planning to multi-functional deliverables, recommend enhancements and procedural changes to maximum operational efficiency, quality, compliance and tooling enhancements
- Review moderately complex business, and operational challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
- Provide guidance and subject expertise to less experienced team with interpreting and understanding complex Association of American Railroads Interchange Rules and Recommended Practices and internal company policies and procedures
- Independently resolve moderately complex issues and lead team to meet functional area process deliverables
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Rail Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with the repair and maintenance of freight and tank cars as governed by AAR Rules and FRA Regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel for the purpose of analyzing and presenting data
