Position Overview
Kiewit is seeking a Proposal Manager to join our Energy & Industry Marketing & Proposals Shared Service which supports nuclear, power; oil, gas and chemical; and industrial pursuits across the organization, representing more than $4 billion in annual revenue across the United States, Canada and Mexico. District Overview
The Kiewit Energy marketing, creative and proposal team provide get-work services to an array of markets, including power generation, transmission and distribution, renewables, industrial, oil and gas, and water/wastewater. Individuals in this department get exposure to a mix of high profile, complex pursuits across North America valued from $5M-$6B. This incredibly profitable, competitive, fun group focuses on winning more work with high-quality, client-focused sales strategies through creative communication techniques. Our rapidly growing team, which includes graphic designers, proposal professionals, writers, digital strategists, marketers, and data analytics brings vast experience, communication expertise, innovative concepts, and best practices to all projects we support across the company.
Location
This role will be based out of our Lenexa KS office. Opportunities for flexible work are available.
Responsibilities
• Manage proposal process to create and coordinate responsibility matrix defining roles, deadlines and assignments
• Manage proposal process to assess level of effort for pursuits and resourcing of personnel from Kiewit’s Marketing and Proposals group, Kiewit districts and external partners
• Facilitate strategy and storyboarding sessions
• Lead proposal kick-off meetings, milestone reviews and recovery periods
• Develop and maintain best practices and templates, data platform and style guides
• Interview and develop content, technical writing and editing
• Brainstorm with graphic designers the technical and informational graphics with visual persuasion
• Coordinate production process
Qualifications
• 7+ years of proposal management experience in A/E/C (or related) industry with an emphasis on publicly procured, qualifications-based collaborative delivery projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications, Journalism, or English, although any related field to the A/E/C industry will be considered. Construction Management or Engineering degree a plus
• Advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Excellent understanding of construction and engineering-focused/technical writing skills, specifically related to the energy and industrial markets
• Skilled at collaborating with and interviewing executives, engineers, construction managers, legal, designers, and others to secure information for various writing assignments
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization and active listening skills
• Strong emotional intelligence
• Self-motivated with the ability to work well with professionals from various backgrounds
• Ability to manage multiple projects to consistently meet high standards and be attentive to quality
• Driven for results and deadlines
• Travel may be required, up to 10%

Base Compensation: $101,248 - 125,000
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
