As a Trading Services Specialist on the Trading Services Operations team, you will provide back-office assistance to the product including collateral maintenance, account maintenance, cash settlements, and lending trade services. You must be able to deal well with pressure and deadlines, be flexible, and able to react quickly to unexpected situations using good judgement to take action as appropriate. The Specialist must be very detail oriented and able to plan ahead.
Job responsibilities
- Confirming and collateralizing new or existing trades with external counterparties
- Processing and monitoring of daily trade settlements in domestic and international markets
- Serving as a point of contact with external counterparties, relationship/product management, and US equity/treasury/international trading desks
- Performing investigative work to reconcile cash and trade breaks with counterparties
- Identifying innovation and process improvement opportunities
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Thrives in a team-oriented environment but can also work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business.
- Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment and prioritize appropriately.
- Ability to articulate complex scenarios, investigations, and results.
- Commitment to providing high standards of quality client service
- Ability to manage relationships, both internal and external.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Innovative mindset, motivated to continuously improve processes.
- Alteryx, Visual Basic, or other technical skills a plus.
- Good presentation and negotiation skills.
- Financial Services experience and a working knowledge of the Securities Lending and Custody products
Work schedule
- This hybrid role requires going into the office two days per week and working from home three days per week. Upon completion of building renovations, this will revert to going into the office three days a week with two days' flexibility to work from home, subject to change
