JOB DESCRIPTION
JPMorgan Chase’s Investment Middle Office (IMOS) acts as the Middle Office for our clients across a range of products, including but not limited to Listed Securities, Cash, ETDs, OTCs, Repos, Bank Loans and CFDs. This team was established in 2020 and is expanding to add additional team members as our client base grows.
As an IMOS analyst within the IBOR Operations oversight team, you will deal with all stages of the lifecycle for each product from broker matching, management of the client’s custodial network, lifecycle events including corporate events, ensuring timely settlement of trades and cash, management of claims and overdrafts, client / regulatory reporting and input into the production of our Investment Book of Record (IBOR) delivery.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide support as the primary lead / first level escalation contact to drive for same day resolution of exceptions.
- Identify & resolve the primary reasons for day over day position and/or market value movement
- Perform quality control checks to ensure consistency between transaction vs. position
- Perform pricing validation for Listed Equities and Fixed Income
- Provide ownership and/or oversight of the various components of the daily operational activities essential to the validation of data set within the IBOR.
- Work independently cross-functionally with technology, service, product and other operations teams to manage the entire IBOR service delivery
- Seek opportunities and take ownership of automation initiatives to improve service levels and improved efficiency for J.P. Morgan and the Client
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- A self-starter who is eager to resolve exceptions and comfortable making independent decision after assessing situation at hand
- Attested track record of successfully working to deadlines, with accountability and responsibility for independent workload
- Ability to be flexible, follow and meet tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work and meet the clients expectations
- Occasional late evening / weekend work may be required
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Understanding of investment product, relevant trade life cycle and/or asset servicing events are most advantageous
