Position Overview
We are seeking a self-motivated Tax Accountant to join our Corporate Tax department. This is a great opportunity to work with a team and continue to grow your skills and career. This department is responsible for tax research and planning, income tax, transaction tax (sales & use, VAT, GST) property tax, and tax incentives. The successful candidate’s initial assignment will be to the transaction tax group and will need to be a highly motivated individual with the ability to build relationships quickly and naturally. These relationships will bring this candidate the credibility needed to operate as a successful business partner within the Kiewit Companies.

Location
This position is based out of our Omaha, Nebraska office.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of transactional tax returns (state, local, and international)
- Analysis of tax payable accounts
- Completion of assigned projects
- Monitor tax legislation
- Assist with tax audits
- Research and analysis of tax issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or equivalent
- Zero to three years of accounting experience
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven technical abilities
- Ability to conduct research
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and research software)
- Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
- Willing and able to put in the time required to meet deadlines
- Able to work independently, and as part of a team
- Some travel may be required
