Job Description We are seeking a Data Governance Specialist to act as the primary liaison between our business stakeholders and the technical data governance framework. In this role, you will focus on shaping data governance strategies, building out Collibra functionalities to meet business needs, and designing the end-to-end processes that ensure our data assets are managed as strategic assets.
Key Responsibilities:- Business Shaping: Partner with cross-functional business leaders to define data governance requirements, standards, and ownership models.
- Process Design: Design and implement operational workflows for data stewardship, issue remediation, and metadata approval.
- Collibra Functional Design: Build out Collibra functionalities (Operating Models, Metamodel extensions, and Workflows) to align with business processes.
- Framework Development: Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures that ensure data integrity and security.
- Change Management: Lead training programs and workshops to drive the adoption of data governance practices across the organization.
- Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with the Grade 12 Lead to ensure business requirements are translated into a scalable technical roadmap.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Requirements:- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience: 6 years of experience in data governance, business analysis, or data management.
- Skills:
- Proven experience in shaping business requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
- Strong proficiency in Collibra (Functional side): designing operating models and workflows.
- Excellent communication and influence skills to manage stakeholders who may be resistant to change.
- Ability to work without appreciable direction and exercise latitude in determining objectives.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Experience with cloud data environments (AWS/Azure).
- Certification in a specific Data Quality tool.

Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $118095 - $200762

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
