We are currently seeking a Procurement Global IT Category Manager who will be responsible for developing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the best value for the company. This position performs complex technical activities related to the purchasing of IT products and services in accordance with business strategy, company policy, and regulatory environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally within the organization, striving for continuous improvement for procurement operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
To include, but not limited to the following:
- Develop and implement IT procurement strategies for hardware, software, and services while aligning with senior business partners on category strategy.
- Serve as a trusted advisor with proven category expertise, leading contract negotiations and managing supplier performance.
- Oversee financial aspects like budgets, scopes, staffing, and contracts, ensuring proper tracking and reporting of spend and savings.
- Lead global sourcing initiatives using the RFx process, negotiating contracts to maximize value and minimize risks, and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Provide strategic direction for sourcing and procurement processes, fostering collaborative and beneficial partnerships within the organization.
- Promote a LEAN working approach within the procurement team and maintain an overview for leadership, ensuring tangible benefits and project quality.
- Facilitate project review gates, coach team members, and ensure consistent quality across procurement initiatives.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives, regularly conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive pricing.
- Monitor market trends to mitigate risks within the IT supply chain and develop contingency plans for supply continuity.
- Utilize data and analytics to drive informed procurement decisions, maintain KPIs to enhance the effectiveness of IT category management and global sourcing activities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration, supply chain management, information technology, finance, or related training/certification (e.g. CIPS)/experience. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10+ years of experience in IT procurement, or proven expertise and experience in IT category management
- Strong knowledge of IT products and services, including hardware, software, and cloud solutions.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective procurement strategies.
- Proficiency in procurement software, spend management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Understanding of economics, business analytics, accounting, operations, logistics, purchasing management, and management information systems.
- Ability to communicate well in standard English, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to travel; estimated overnight travel is 10-20%.

Benefits and Compensation:
This role will be eligible for hybrid work flexibility based out of our New Brighton office. The pay range is $103,500 - $155,800, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for annual bonus and profit sharing based on company performance in addition to other benefits that support the total well-being of you and your family.
