We have an exciting role open within Caterpillar as an Accountant. This position will work closely with our research and engineering organization to monitor spending and budgeting to support the various product groups within Resource Industries Operations & Products (RIOP). This position will also be responsible for partnering with the business to drive outcomes that will lead to profitable growth within RIOP. Reporting to the Accounting Manager you will be a strategic partner providing insights into many areas of the business and working with diverse teams across the globe, including senior level leadership, to achieve profitable growth.
What You Will Do:
- Lead monthly financial planning and analysis for Wheeled Product Engineering (WPE), Tracked Product Engineering (TPE) and Tucson Proving Grounds (TPG)
- Analyze and lead quarterly and annual forecast processes including within JET and PAC2
- Work closely with the engineering teams and product groups to ensure financial expectations are aligned
- Partner with the business in all areas of the P&L, and other financial and non-financial metrics to provide deeper strategic insights and solve challenges with a customer-oriented mindset
- Exhibit our finance culture by demonstrating desired behaviors, including but not limited to continuous improvement
What You Have:

This role will work across all areas of the P&L and have the opportunity to develop a full understanding of the group’s financial line items.

This role will have various customers that will look at data in different ways, so this person must be able to effectively communicate in multiple directions.
- Vision for Change : See opportunities for change and establish the big picture vision as well as drive thinking and planning towards a long-term strategic goal. This position will offer the ability to standardize and develop reporting opportunities across our product groups and in various areas of the P&L.
