Our customers are rapidly adopting Amazon Web Services as a way to build scalable and cost-effective web and IT solutions for their businesses. To help them do that effectively, our sales professionals need effective, consumable, and relevant training.
As a Technical Program Manager in the AWS Worldwide Field Enablement (WWFE) organization, you will play an integral role in the continued success of our sales and technical field and customers by raising the bar on security. You will work alongside AWS Security teams to ensure new and existing tools protect customer data, as well as own key technical development initiatives across the organization designed to improve the way our sales field experiences learning content.
Key job responsibilities
- Work in tandem with internal Amazon and AWS Vendor Security teams to secure AWS Security approval for 3rd party vendors
- Work with security engineers, field enablement, and TPMs to develop runbooks, threat models and secure architecture designs
- Communicate effectively across leadership teams
- Influence field enablement teams across Amazon to adopt systems and processes with security best practices
- Address bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus security/technical constraints
- Partner with multiple teams across multiple locations with varying sets of priorities to ensure a timely delivery of AppSec requirements
- Clarify and drive project commitments as well as establish and maintain clear chains of accountability
About the team
Builder Tech Operations (BTO) team partners with cross-functional field enablement teams to navigate vendor relationships and AppSec's requirements when on-boarding a new tool, vendor, or service.
The BTO team is dedicated to ensuring that our 3rd party vendors operate to the highest standards required to maintain and enhance internal and external customer trust. The team focuses on verifying the security of vendor services and systems before they are released to AWS employees, as well as the continuing governance after the vendor has been approved. We do this by proactively, retroactively, and continuously looking for security vulnerabilities in processes and procedures. This includes developing run books, threat models, and providing reviews of vendors in production, and performing red team activities.
