The Microsoft 365 Exchange Engineer will be responsible for modernizing all messaging and collaboration technologies at Campbell’s with a focus on providing a high-quality user experience related to Microsoft technologies focused around Exchange, Messaging, Email Security & Microsoft 365 services. This position will be responsible for the administration of Campbell’s Microsoft 365 tenant which include all Microsoft services (Email, Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint Yammer, etc).
You will ensure that messaging and collaboration methods are cutting-edge and are delivered securely, with reliability and resiliency in a method that is as intuitive to the customer as possible.
The job requires accountability over all elements of Microsoft 365 [ formerly Office 365 ] services related to messaging and collaboration including designing and delivering of new features and upgrades, maintenance and monitoring to ensure quality, administration, security, and support of the service day-to-day.
In this role you will report to the Senior Manager of Collaboration Experience.
Essential responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Lead the delivery of Microsoft 365 services including Exchange, Messaging, Email Security, Sharepoint & all other M365 Collaboration services.
- Responsible for the design, architecture and support of the global M365 and Collaboration environment.
- Responsible managing, maintaining, and updating a Messaging and Collaboration operations leveraging partner.
- Lead complex Microsoft 365 projects such as integration via acquisitions and divestitures.
- Ensure Microsoft 365 is as secure as possible given business requirements.
- Accountable for the delivery, management, and maintenance of mobile device management.
- Partners with Meeting Experience team to ensure overlap of technologies is run optimally and to drive Unified Communications projects.
- Provides Level III support for Messaging and Collaboration including guidance and training to support organization for Messaging and Collaboration.
- Produces communication as needed for IT, End Users and partners related to changes and feature enhancements to Microsoft 365.
- Engage with the business, internal IT, third parties including Microsoft to solve complex Collaboration problems.
- Proactively identifies IT trends, Change to technologies and their implications on Campbell’s landscape.
- Engage with IT Security and Group Internal Audit to ensure security, reliability, integrity, and robustness of solution design.
- Interface with IT Leadership and provide updates related to Collaboration and operate cross-functionally to manage Collaboration.
- Performs root cause analysis reports after critical outages to address underline problem.
- Build and maintain detailed documentation related to architecture, processes, and procedures and contribute to Collaboration roadmaps.
- Managing Exchange Server environments, including mailboxes, transport rules, address lists, and public folders.
- Monitoring system health, availability, and performance using monitoring tools.
- Implementing and managing email security measures, such as anti-spam and anti-malware solutions.
- Managing user mailboxes, email distribution groups, and mailbox permissions.
- Other duties and responsibilities will be included within the Microsoft Collaboration ecosystem.
- Investigating and resolving Exchange Server issues, including mail flow, connectivity, and performance problems.
- Analyzing and troubleshooting Exchange-related errors, event logs, and message tracking.
- Collaborating with other IT teams and vendors to resolve complex issues.
- Implementing best practices and security measures to prevent and mitigate email-related threats.
- Configuring and managing integration between Exchange and other Microsoft technologies, such as SharePoint, Teams, and Office 365.
- Supporting and troubleshooting Exchange-related integrations with third-party applications and services.
- Collaborating with teams responsible for SharePoint and other collaboration tools to ensure seamless integration and user experience.
- Creating and maintaining documentation, including system configurations, installation procedures, and troubleshooting guides around all M365 services.
- Providing knowledge transfer and training to IT staff and end users.
- Keeping up-to-date documentation of M365-related processes and procedures.
- Implementing and managing security measures to protect M365 environments, such as encryption, data loss prevention (DLP), and email archiving.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies.
- Conducting regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
We are looking for the following abilities and skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree encouraged (but not required) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 5 years’ engineering experience working with Microsoft Messaging and Collaboration including, but not limited to the following:
- Microsoft 365 [ Formerly Office 365 ] (since or near 2011 inception).
- Exchange on-premises and Exchange Online.
- Linux
- Microsoft 365 Tenant administration
- At least 5 years’ experience. managing Microsoft 365 operations, technical support provider management and mobile device management services.
- Excellent written skills with the ability to build architecture diagrams.
- Experience in managing enterprise social media services (Workplace/Yammer).
- Exceptional understanding of the following areas that impact Collaboration:
- Microsoft Azure Cloud and on-premises single sign-on and authentication
- End point (PCs and tablets/smartphones) office productivity tools
- Windows
- SMTP, Linux
- M365 Services (Exchange, OneDrive, Sharepoint, Yammer, etc)
- Exceptional understanding of Microsoft 365 applications and monthly updates and patching.
- Experience in management of Infrastructure and/or IT deployment projects.
- Strong foundation in systems automation, change management, capacity planning and documentation.
- Proficiency with Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform and other Microsoft 365 products as well as PowerShell.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Azure, AD Azure Sync, and Microsoft Identities.
- Proficiency with network tracing tools like Wireshark and browser/HTTP tracing such as Fiddler.
- Knowledge of the following: DNS, IP Addressing, routing, messaging protocols such as POP3, IMAP, SMTP, LAN/WAN, Network Load Balancing, Security devices, SAN/NAS, UCCS, SCOM.
- Experience with Azure app registration.
10% travel required to our Corporate office in Camden, NJ
Compensation and Benefits:
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$72,900-$117,300
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
