Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide sales coverage for open or vacant field and/or inside sales territories
- Make outreach via the phone to physician’s offices that deal with complex chronic diseases such as Cancer, Hepatitis C, MS, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Crohn’s Disease, Cystic Fibrosis, Asthma, and Allergy to build or strengthen relationships
- Effectively communicate via phone, email, fax and MS Teams to consistently move customers or prospects towards commitment of using Optum Specialty Pharmacy as their specialty pharmacy
- Partner with Regional Sales Directors to develop specific territory strategies
- Assist with patient tracking
- Collaborate with pharmacy personnel to ensure customers’ expectations are met
- Utilize Salesforce.com and all Optum Specialty Pharmacy sales/marketing tools, territory data/reports to successfully grow your book of business and achieve stated goals
- Uphold the highest ethical standards, comply with all UHG and government policies and regulations

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 1+ years Business to Business (B2B) sales experience with documented success
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Salesforce.com
- Intermediate level of proficiency with phone presence and ability to communicate effectively over the phone
Preferred Qualifications:
- Track record of over-achieving quotas
- Prior quota carrying experience
Soft Skills:
- Strong phone presence and experience with cold calling
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to build trust and relationships over the phone
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
