The Cancer Immunology and Cellular Therapy Thematic Research Center (CICT) is one of the fundamental research and early development engines delivering therapeutics to patients. Our mission is to drive leadership in the use of immune effector cell-based therapies in hematological and solid cancers. Within CICT, the Cell Therapy Process Research and Engineering (CT-PRE) team works at the exciting interface of engineered T-cell biology and cell therapy process development, in close collaboration with colleagues across the Research and Development organizations, with the goal of advancing novel innovative platforms from early concept design towards implementation for pipeline assets. The CT-PRE team is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, self-driven and collaborative individual to contribute to the exploration and early process development of next generation cell therapies." This team is responsible for accelerating the assessment of novel drug assets in the preclinical pipeline from research to full development. The candidate will conceptualize, design , and execute lab experiments, both individually as well as with other lab scientists through efficient collaboration and teamwork. The successful candidate is expected to be both scientifically creative in assessing novel gene delivery and cell engineering strategies, and technically adept at leveraging experience from existing cell therapy principles to enable drug process manufacturing success. - Leveraging engineering principles to scale - up benchtop CAR T cell production protocols into manufacturing-like scale drug development process .
- Documenting experimental execution in electronic lab notebook for demonstrating repeatability and robustness of developed processes. " "

- Up-to-date knowledge of CRISPR-based gene editing technologies for cell therapies (viral and non-viral)." "
- Working knowledge of analyzing and interpreting data from cellular and molecular assays (e.g. flow cytometry, ddPCR ) .
- Familiarity with Design of Experiments ( DoEs ) and statistical analysis is p referred . " "

- Strong communication skills as demonstrated by first-author, peer-reviewed publications and oral conference presentations.
The starting compensation for this job is a range from $97,000 - $121,000 plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.
Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
