Position Overview
The GIS Analyst utilizes Geographic Information System (GIS) to provide GIS support to Project teams. The analyst will assist in developing, updating, analyzing, and managing GIS data for a wide variety of Project and operational support.
This position functions with appropriate supervision, performing moderate GIS and data management tasks including geospatial and environmental data/database management, map/figure creation, data analysis and reporting, web-based mapping application development, mobile data collection setup and management, training, and workflow automation.

Location
This position will be based out of our Lone Tree, CO office with flexibility for hybrid work.
Responsibilities
- Works within a project team to understand project objectives and be a productive member of that team; offering suggestions for improvement, meeting deadlines, and performing quality work.
- Interprets CAD drawings from multiple sources - design firm’s proposed drawing set, utility as-builts, surveys, plat maps, etc. to convert and update files in the projects GIS.
- Support field staff with the collection, documentation, and management of data captured in the field.
- Updates and maintains Aerial Imagery for the project.
- Creates, updates, and maintains GIS data within databases, feature classes, or SHP files
- Understands basic GIS environment and file formats and be able to apply them to the CAD environment, or export/adapt CAD formats into a GIS environment when necessary
- Assist in the creation and updating of new and existing GIS maps and map layers and GPS data edition and representation using ArcGIS in support of field surveys.
- Assist with GPS data collection and post-processing for high accuracy data specifications.
- Uses knowledge to work independently. However, use good judgment in seeking help/answers to questions from project supervisor when necessary
- Demonstrates a team focus and work to help the project be successful.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of engineering and/or construction related experience preferred, but not required
- FAA Remote Pilot Certification (Part 107) preferred
- Proficient in ESRI ArcGIS based software
- Mobile data collection, processing, and integration (Field Maps, Survey123)
- Experience with Automation and ETL (FME, Python, Model Builder).
- Experience with other software including Pix4D, Propellor, CAD (Autodesk and/or Bentley), or other mapping or image processing software is also desirable.
- Experience with GIS-CAD data interoperability and integration.
- Experience developing web-based mapping applications (using ESRI Experience Builder), or other applications, and maintaining online databases.
- Prior consulting experience preferred.

Education
- A minimum of 3 years GIS or related work experience.
- Degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Computer Science, or another related field preferred.

Base Compensation: $73,000/yr - $76,000/yr
