Raytheon is hiring a Principal Infrastructure Automation Engineer to support our teams in Richardson, Texas. You will have the opportunity to directly impact the world around you and contribute to classified programs and technologies you are passionate about. In this role, you will use your solid foundation in Java and experience working in a Linux environment to comprehend customer needs and translate those needs into viable design solutions.
What You Will Do
Opportunity to use your understanding of software principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering (including software development lifecycle and software development process), design patterns, and Object-Oriented architecture.
Oversee complicated designs related to developing and maintaining a baseline Infrastructure as Code functionality
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
Demonstrate your critical thinking skills with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas well.
The ability to obtain and maintain SCI program access and complete polygraphs.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of experience.
At least 2 years’ experience designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) based on Agile/DevSecOps principles.
Experience with Linux, VMWare, Ansible etc.
Experience utilizing the Atlassian suite, Artifactory, or Maven tools
Experience with Infrastructure as Code testing techniques
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Experience with AWS Cloud Technologies.
Familiar with Software Configuration Management (SWCM) principals
Experience implementing different branches methodologies
Experience developing complex software applications in Java or C++
Good collaboration skills and the ability to convey designs both verbally and written

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
