Procurement Specialist, Mid
Key Role:
Serve as a Procurement Specialist within the indirect global supply chain organization. Guide internal clients in a confident manner and leverage prior procurement experience to provide exceptional support to the business. Act in a strategic capacity and facilitate recurrent interaction with internal stakeholders ranging from junior level employees up to business unit VP. Develop and nurture strong strategic relationships with key business partners, seeking to demonstrate the value of partnering with the procurement team and drive continual engagement with procurement. Conduct frequent contract review and lead negotiation of complex terms, in addition to leading both small and large-scale sourcing efforts. Conduct due diligence for complex procurement initiatives, including spend analysis, market research, competitive solicitations, supplier evaluations, cost analysis, and negotiation of terms and conditions, including warranty, indemnification, and liability provisions. Review, redline and negotiate agreements including MSA, SaaS Agreement, NDA, SOW, and Change Order and Amendment. Work autonomously without considerable direction from leadership and quickly settle into the role.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with supply chain and procurement processes and best practices
Experience with strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, strategic contract review, negotiations, or contract administration
Experience with technical applications, including Microsoft Office applications
Experience with leading complex sourcing initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
Experience interpreting professional service and software licensing terms and conditions
Ability to leverage market research and applicable informational resources
Ability to apply principles of technical and economic evaluation and use these evaluations as a basis for negotiation strategies and sourcing recommendations
Ability to draft contractual agreements for proposed procurement opportunity, review all commercial terms and conditions, evaluate contractual risk, and articulate risks to internal stakeholders
Ability to grasp business issues, identify and articulate risks and opportunities, adapt and remain flexible during times of change, and provide quality insight as to how to achieve goals and ensure business success
HS diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with procurements, including technology, consulting, and professional services
Experience with managing procurement categories, including People Services, HR, Corporate Affairs, Legal, or Finance
Ability to work in a collaborative, high-demand, client-driven environment
Ability to exhibit leadership qualities and interface with internal groups and teams at multiple organizational levels
Ability to stay organized and manage workload
Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients
Possession of excellent project management skills
Possession of excellent negotiation, consultative, and interpersonal skills
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $51,600.00 to $106,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
