Leidos is seeking a Database Administratorto join our team in San Diego, CA. Does the prospect of tackling dynamic challenges excite you? What You’ll Do
- Support the upgrade of our customer’s operational environment to an upgraded platform and software product environment capable of Support operations.
- Collaborate with your team to design the best solution for success
- Follow best practices for availability, security, backup and recovery, and integrity of Oracle databases.
- Contribute to formulating and documenting company database standards, guidelines, and operational procedures.
- Lead by example, setting high standards for technical excellence, problem-solving, and proactive approaches to challenges.

What You’ll Bring
- BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of database management experience
- Proficiency in Engineering and Managing Replication technologies like Oracle Golden Gate
- Experience with Installation, upgrade, maintenance, administration, and Migration of Oracle databases.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Oracle
- 5+ years of relevant experience in implementing and maintaining Golden Gate replications across multiple Oracle instances
- A high level of competence in PL/SQL
- 3+ years of experience in Shell scripting.
- Extensive SME experience with Golden Gate replication (multi directional) and Conflict Detection & Resolution (CDR) is required.
- Experience in performance tuning, database architectures, replication, problem diagnosis and resolution, shell scripting, PL/SQL development, and backup and recovery is also required.
- Experience in troubleshooting problems relating to the Oracle database that may originate or exist in the infrastructure that supports the data store including but not limited to application server, network, storage or operating system component/layer.
- Experience in upgrading, patching and migrating databases
- Strong knowledge of building complex SQL queries
- Self-starter and be able to perform work with minimal supervisory direction
- Extremely detail-oriented with strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Oracle 10g, 11g administration is a plus.

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
