Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an SE-4 Systems Administrator for the TMAS 2 96 CTG Task Order, supporting the 46 TS / TGBC.
This position provides support to the 46 Test Squadron at Eglin AFB as a member of a system administration team responsible for maintenance of systems within the Advanced Programs (AP) lab.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Technical Master’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years of applicable experience. Additional experience may be substituted for education.
- An active Secret Clearance adjudicated within the past five years is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship.
- Must have a current Security+ or equivalent certification.
- Experience with Windows OS’s (i.e. Microsoft Windows 11, Windows 10), Group Policy, and Local Security Policy configuration is required.
- Recent experience building Linux systems and proficient in troubleshooting IT hardware and software issues required.
- Ability to communicate and present technical details both written and verbally is required.
- Must be able to travel to contractors' facilities, test sites, and other locations up to 25% of the time is required.
- Strong work ethic; Must be comfortable working in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted is required.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Understanding of fundamental networking concepts, including routing, switching, VLANs, and firewall management.
- Experience with Python for scripting, automation, and developing custom tools.
- Hands on experience with Security Enhanced Linux (SE Linux) for enforcing security policies on Linux systems.
- Experience in developing, deploying, and managing applications using Linux Docker containers, including creating Docker files and managing container technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain DISA guidelines and USAF security updates.
- Apply RMF controls and implement STIGs and SCAP Benchmarks.
- Manage the functionality and performance of AP lab hardware and software systems.
- Build systems from Secure Host Baseline (SHB) images.
- Manage and utilize Microsoft Deployment Tool Kit (MDT) for deploying and configuring operating systems.
- Perform program scripting in PowerShell to support system automation.
- Create and manage system user accounts in accordance with policies and directives.
- Employ local group policy management.
- Install and configure application software.
- Establish user environments and configure servers, clients, and storage hardware.
- Perform operating system upgrades and data backups.
- Develop solutions to complex problems requiring creativity and ingenuity.
- Use approved system cloning applications or devices for testing.
- Perform hardware diagnostic testing and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Document preventive maintenance actions, troubleshooting efforts, repairs, and related daily activities.
- Conduct system troubleshooting and workstation maintenance.
- Diagnose and resolve errors during test events.
- Develop and document systems administration standard operating procedures.
- Support DT&E enclave assessment and authorization in line with DoD and AF instructions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
