Naval Data Analyst, Junior

As a client-facing data analyst on our Naval readiness analystteam, you’ll work closely with your clients to extract and evaluate their data, you’ll also help your client interpret the information and recommend how it can be used to make an impact on optimizing Naval capabilities for operators and maintainers.
How You’ll Contribute:
As a data analyst on our team, you’ll:
Use your technical knowledge to support client and stakeholder relationships for Naval shipboard systems
Research, develop, and generate solutions through analysis of large data sets
Contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations
Apply your communicationskills and analytical mindset by simplifying technical requirements and trends, based on audience
Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of data and data visualizations
Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes
Apply data visualization through different formats such as graphs, tables and PowerPoint slides
Grow your communication and technical skills while supporting our Naval Warfighters

You Have:
1+ years of experience as a data analyst, financial analyst or business analyst
Ability to use MS Office Excel to create charts and graphs
Ability to prepare MS Office PowerPoint slides for presentation of data findings to decision makers
Ability to prepare MS Office Word reports for communicating data trends, findings and making recommendations to decision makers
Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
Experience visualizing data using Tableau or Power BI
Knowledge of military systems such as shipboard combat systems
Knowledge of programming languages for data science, such as SQL, Python, R, JavaScript
Ability to collect, manage, and visualize to develop metrics and trends
Bachelor's degree in data science, mathematics, statistics, information technologies, information systems or computer science
Data Analytics Professional Certificate
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $47,000.00 to $96,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
