This role is with KBR’s Government Solutions U.S. division. This project will provide the Customer’s facilities and outlying buildings with services necessary to ensure optimal performance and utilization of the facility infrastructure, including, but not limited to, Operation & Maintenance (O&M), recapitalization, renovations, design, construction, records management, repairs to correct identified deficiencies or adverse impacts to operational capabilities, and improvements leveraging innovative and technological solutions.
Who You Are
As the Continuity and Emergency Management Group Activities Manager, you are a key leadership figure within our management team. Your role serves as the focal point for continuity and emergency management activities. Your expertise and management acumen uphold the integrity and effectiveness of the agency's Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Emergency Management (EM) plans.
Your strategic approach to emergency management aligns with US Government and Host Nation regulations, policies and procedures, driving the completion of critical tasks and establishing robust processes that serve as the foundation for operational planning activities. Your proactive management style includes the sourcing of necessary resources and providing expert technical management, which resonates with our standards of excellence across all service domains.
This role will be located in Alice Springs, Australia at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. The Continuity and Emergency Management Group Activities Manager will be expected to travel between our facilities in Alice Springs and the local area. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
What You’ll Do
In your pivotal role as the Continuity and Emergency Management Group Activities Manager, you will:
Serve as the focal point for government site continuity and emergency management activities, which include emergency management, continuity of operations, continuity of government, and test, training and exercises
Assist with strategic and operational planning activities, assessments and surveys and determine additional capabilities required
Directs, designs, coordinates, and implements emergency management plans and procedures
Directs contractor staff in their daily duties and provides guidance related to the Emergency Management Program
Assists the in development of the annual operating and capital budgets, annual strategic goals, and initiatives
Oversees the selection, identification, purchasing and ongoing maintenance of Emergency Management equipment and supplies; Projects capital needs relative to emergency management and the maintenance of equipment and supply caches
Identify gaps in the Site’s ability to support ongoing or newly formed capabilities
Activities include a systematic approach to develop, coordinate, review, test, train, and exercise capabilities
Manage security staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
Innovate and implement policies and procedures to promote a safe and efficient work environment
Cultivate and maintain robust partnerships with stakeholders, including customers, partners, and your team, fostering a collaborative atmosphere conducive to success
Authorize and guide technical solutions, products, and processes, ensuring they meet KBR's high standards and client expectations
Exercise quality control and standardize best practices to ensure consistent performance
Requirements
Must be a US Citizen and possess an active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance with adjudicated polygraph
A Bachelors Degree or higher; preferably in Health Administration, Emergency Management, Public Health or other related field from an accredited college or university
Minimum of six (6) years’ experience, defined as technical and managerial experience associated with continuity at a federal agency with an established continuity program, continuity of government, mission assurance, and/or readiness program or other programs of similar size, scope and complexity
Have and maintain appropriate education and training for the role to include FEMA courses such as IS-100, 200, 300, 700, and 800; IS-400 and the Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) certification are highly desired
Demonstrated experience working in 24x7x365 operational environments requiring close coordination with mission operations
Demonstrated capability to exercise good judgement
Demonstrated capability to respond effectively during emergencies
