This project will provide the Customer with a consolidated Support Services Center as the focal point to receive, plan, program, allocate resources, schedule, document, reserve/Issue and communicate requirements for Work Orders.
Who You Are
KBR is in search of a skilled Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to establish the Quality Assurance program. You will ensure the reliability, integrity, and maintainability of the overall program, that the program requirements of the Contract are met, and that quality workmanship and materials are provided. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, analytical acumen, an eye for detail, and a proven ability to make decisions and adhere to strict deadlines.
This is a 24x7 operation which requires provision of on-call support. Your role transcends conventional limits, placing a premium on the solid availability of essential systems. It's imperative that these systems remain operational without interruption. Your vigilant oversight and proactive maintenance strategies are the cornerstones of our commitment to delivering stellar customer service.
This role will be located in Alice Springs, Australia at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. The QA Manager will be expected to travel between our facilities in Alice Springs and the local area. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
What You’ll Do
In the role of Quality Assurance (QA) Manager, your duties will include:
- Prepare and deliver the Quality Assurance Plan to set guidance, expectations and direction for all SOW Service areas
- Provide specialized technical expertise to support the QA program
- Conduct inspections and testing, utilizing advanced techniques to ensure compliance with requirements
- Generate detailed inspection reports outlining work area conditions and recommend corrective actions
- Apply knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards
- Implement principles of performance evaluation and prediction methods to enhance product safety, reliability, and maintainability
- Align the quality management function with the performance needs of product lines
- Manage a related discipline or sub-group within the function, ensuring the team achieves functional objectives
- Provide leadership and direction to team members, fostering a culture of quality excellence
- Participate in the development of functional strategy, contributing to global processes and procedures
- Follow the Quality Control Plan, Quality Management System, and Flow processes
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Develop quality inspection checklists for processes based on the SOW, latest Technical Data Package (TDP) and Subcontractor Statement of Work (SUB SOW) requirements
- Analyze quality data to identify opportunities for process improvement
- Validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution using knowledge of quality systems and tools
- Prepare Nonconformities reports and perform follow-up audits on Corrective actions
- Create Audit schedules for all active sites/services as per the latest TDP and track and report the progress

- Act as primary liaison between KBR and customer Quality Representatives at the Project level.
- Communicating effectively with diverse teams, responding to questions, and solving a range of operational issues
Requirements
- Must possess an active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance with an adjudicated CI polygraph, or Host Nation TS/PV clearance
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting programs/projects of similar scope, size and complexity
- Knowledge of process improvement models
- Proficient knowledge and experience in the use of project management concepts to manage items including, but not limited to project schedule, scope, cost, risk, and deliverables and related metrics
- Industry recognized Quality Assurance certification, or equivalent
- Experience providing high-quality customer service
