As a Recruiter, Early in Profession, you play a key role in the development and execution of our recruiting strategies by attracting our candidates for our critical roles. In this role, you will build relationships You’ll cover the basics of recruiting, but more importantly, leverage your technical and business knowledge to deliver and advocate for candidate experience and engagement.
Stakeholder/Client Engagement
- Executes on a hiring plan in coordination with various business groups, adeptly managing different timeframes and budgets, and aligning expectation in high volume environment.
- Establishes and sustains internal customer relationships with hiring leaders, human resources, compensation teams, legal departments, and others in a highly matrixed organization.
Data Analysis & Hiring Plans
- Serves as a trusted advisor, utilizing data analysis to guide the execution of our hiring plans, informing hiring leaders with data when creating equitable offers, to enhance the success rate of securing candidates.
- Assists in developing closing strategies by utilizing business narratives and market insights that underscore the unique career opportunities at Microsoft.
Candidate Attraction
- Tasked with comprehending the job market across various disciplines and professions, and adeptly engaging with top-tier talent. This includes presenting compelling packages, conveying the unique opportunities and benefits of our organization, and confidently negotiating as required.
- Understands how to attract candidates by leveraging business narratives that showcase Microsoft’s unique career opportunities, advantages, and rewards.
- Expected to articulate our offerings and cultivate a comprehensive understanding of how we differentiate ourselves from other employers.
Candidate Experience
- Guarantees candidate satisfaction by engaging candidates through effective communication, timely updates, and responsiveness to their needs during all stages of the hiring process, including the interview and closing process, thereby providing comprehensive support to meet candidate needs.
- Expected to continuously innovate and improve the candidate experience within our processes at scale by identifying and implementing creative strategies to enhance the candidate journey throughout the execution of hiring plans.
Operational Compliance & Excellence
- Uses an understanding of the entire hiring lifecycle to apply the appropriate internal and external staffing policies, standards, and/or regulations to all stages of the staffing process. Educates clients on the appropriate processes and policies to ensure that compliance requirements are met.
- Maintains current documentation on candidates’ qualifications and status in the appropriate staffing or tracking system, within compliance guidelines (e.g., Office of Federal Compliance Programs, General Data Protection Regulation). Captures relevant data in recruiting platform and leverages data to inform meaningful insights.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ years experience in strategic planning, capacity planning, program management, workback planning, or process improvement.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Related experience working with candidates and stakeholders across multiple countries
- LinkedIn Recruiter Certification
- Experience with offer negotiations across multiple professions and disciplines
- French and/or Spanish language fluency
Talent Acquisition IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $66,900 - $135,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $89,600 - $148,200 per year.
