Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician III for the Redstone Test and Engineering Services contract, supporting the ARmy Division.
JOB DETAILS
LOCATION: Redstone Arsenal, AL
JOB STATUS: Full-Time

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- 5 years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization:
- or 2 years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and 3 years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty.
- Mechanical – At least 4 years of the 5 years’ experience must include successful completion of 1 year of vocational/military/technical school training in practical or industrial arts.
- A minimum of 2 years of mechanical fabrication and structural/fixture setup supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- 2yr Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) in either of the following:
- Aerospace Technology – Welding
- Aerospace Technology – Structures & Assembly
- Industrial Maintenance – Mechanical
- Class “A” CDL with hazmat endorsement
- Welding experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support mechanical operations in and around test stands and fixtures
- Operate and maintain equipment for test support
- LPART (Liquid-Propellant-Action-Response-Team) certified or ability to obtain once hired
- Comprehend various test setups and lead the mechanical responsibilities while following applicable standard operating procedures
- Operate forklifts from Class VII and below, mobile and overhead crane, and other similar equipment
