Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pumps, fans, and other building systems and equipment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and corrective repairs to ensure equipment reliability and optimal performance.
- Conduct daily facility rounds to identify operational issues, safety hazards, leaks, temperature concerns, and other maintenance needs.
- Monitor and maintain building automation and control systems to support efficient facility operations.
- Respond promptly to service requests, equipment failures, and emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment status, repair recommendations, and operational concerns to management.
- Support facility safety programs and comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with facility management and other maintenance team members to complete daily assignments and special projects.
- Participate in rotating on-call schedules and provide emergency response support as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in commercial building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building automation systems.
- Ability to diagnose equipment issues and perform preventive and corrective maintenance independently.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, blueprints, and work orders.
- Proficiency using maintenance management systems and basic computer applications preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a customer-focused environment.
- Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, walk for extended periods, and perform physical maintenance activities including bending, kneeling, crouching, and working in confined spaces.
- Must be available for after-hours, weekend, and emergency call-in assignments as needed.
