We need a data analyst like you to bring your knowledge to improve our criminal justice systems.
As a client-facing data analyst on our criminal justice team, you’ll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you provide a deep understanding of their data, but you’ll also advise your client on what the information means and how it can be used to make an impact on criminal justice challenges.
How You’ll Contribute:
As a data analyst on our team, you’ll:
- Use your technical knowledge and analytical mindset to support client and stakeholder relationships.
- Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through analysis of large data sets.
- Contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations.
- Apply social science skills and data analytics experience by simplifying technical requirements and trends, based on audience.
- Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of databases, and scripting languages, including SQL, R, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes.
- Apply data visualization through different formats such as graphs, tables, and PowerPoint slides.
- Grow your communication and technical skills by merging consulting and big data to create data-centric solutions across government.

You Have:
- 3+ years of experience with researching, gathering facts, and using analytical techniques and evaluative methods to produce products used to make organizational decisions
- Experience in forensic chemistry
- Experience in research tasks of significant technical complexity
- Experience with directing development of timely project reports that demonstrate organization, clarity, and proper format
- Knowledge of drug data analytics
- Knowledge of data collection methods and statistical analyses
- Ability to have creative technical solutions to research problems, questions, and issues
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Master's degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with published work in an area of science
- Experience in common programming languages, including C#, Python, Java, or SQL
- Ability to perform work with minimal supervision and guidance
- Ability to be detail-oriented

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
