Haskell’s Design & Consulting Team unites architecture, engineering, and consulting professionals from across industries and geographies. The Design & Consulting Team serves a diverse set of markets, and this position will be part of our Industrial Design group. As a team member at Haskell, you’ll have the opportunity to work on impactful projects that will challenge your creativity, innovation, and expand your skill set.
In this role, you will be responsible for the structural design of basic elements for assigned projects. Your work will be of increasing complexity to meet eligibility requirements to take the professional licensing exam.
Your responsiblities will also include:
- Developing structural system design of various building/construction types of varying complexity.
- Coordinating work with other disciplines. Performing interdisciplinary coordination checks to minimize deficiencies, errors and omissions in drawings and specifications.
- Performing site visits and preparing observation/follow-up phase reports documenting progress and deficiencies.
- Reviewing structural testing and inspection reports.
- Responding to project RFIs and reviews construction shop drawing submittals.
- Improving ability to use all structural design, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling software
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Master's Degree focused in Structural Engineering (preferred)
- Some exposure to or the desire to gain experience with AutoCAD, Revit, RAM Structural System, ETABS, RISA, and SAP2000
- Desire to obtain Professional Engineer (P.E.) license

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
