Primary Responsibilities
HDR is currently looking for an Advisory Services Consultant for the Colorado area. In this role you will be expected to help build the practice and support work opportunities related to organizational alignment and strategic planning, change management, talent and workforce development, and leadership coaching. The work typically supports national infrastructure organization, cities, states, and the development of program implementation and management strategies. The Consultant will work in cooperation with the other HDR Consultants by managing assignments and coordinating client and contractor needs for specific client projects. In addition, the role would engage Principal Consultants, Organizational Development/Advisory Services analysts and consulting staff to leverage resources and efficiently and cost-effectively carry out consulting engagements.
In this role, we'll count on you to:
- Provide HDR’s advisory consulting services to our clients, perform data analyses and document results, and make recommendations on alternatives related to operation and business management changes.
- Uses logic, analysis and planning to get insight into different aspects of business, focusing on the organization as a whole.
- Additionally, serve as the Project Manager on large and complex projects and drive business development activities in collaboration with practice leadership and more senior management consultants. Direct complex qualitative and quantitative analyses related to operational and business management changes and their impacts.
- Direct written reports/visual representations of findings independently related to options and change evaluations and perform QA/QC.
- Actively lead client meetings, manage client relationships with minimal input from senior staff, and provide guidance to more junior staff.
- Contribute statistical analysis of project data, forecasting and benchmarks.
- Participate in industry associations and continue the advancement of the strategic consulting practice.
- Collaborate with other business group leads, business class, and client development leads to identify cross-sector and geographic opportunities.
- Identify business development activities to procure new work.
- Achieve client satisfaction and meet project budget parameters.
- Create and implement training processes.
- Perform other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- A minimum of 9 years of related work experience
- Efficient use of the internet and other electronic/print media for research
- Ability to lead pursuits and targeted marketing opportunities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong relationship, organizational and follow-up skills
- Self-starter with proven track record of accomplishments
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
