This position coordinates technical activities across Army, Navy, Air Force, government engineering organizations, munitions facilities, and defense industry partners to maintain alignment throughout the weapon system lifecycle. The role applies disciplined systems engineering to proximity-fuse development, container qualification, stockpile reliability, Materiel Release, and APKWS-based counter-UAS and ground-defense integration. Success in this position requires effective technical communication, organized execution, close collaboration across stakeholder organizations, and careful attention to engineering documentation and configuration.
Roles and Responsibilities

- Coordinate weapon and fuze safety documentation, hazard classification, explosive-safety reviews, certification activities, PHST considerations, and engineering inputs required to support Full or Conditional Materiel Release.
- Provide SETA engineering coordination for TAGM RAPCAP and PM ACE / PM SHIELD initiatives involving APKWS-based launcher and weapon integration, including EAGLS, VAMPIRE, and CWS-A applications.
- Coordinate Load, Assembly, and Pack activities with Letterkenny Munitions Center, including production schedules, engineering documentation, quality interfaces, technical data, and acceptance activities for Army APKWS builds.
- Assess technical risks, configuration impacts, test results, qualification status, and integration issues and communicate engineering recommendations to government program leadership and participating organizations.
- Other duties as assigned in support of mission and business requirements.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another related ABET-accredited engineering discipline.
- Minimum five years of professional systems engineering experience.
- Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance, or eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Experience supporting Configuration Control Boards, technical interchange meetings, or engineering milestone reviews such as PDR, CDR, or TRR.
- Experience with weapon system safety, explosive safety, qualification, testing, or packaging, handling, storage, and transportability requirements.
