Overview
ABM Industries is seeking a Test Technician II to join our Electrical Power Services team. This position performs inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning activities on electrical power distribution equipment in commercial, industrial, utility, and mission-critical environments.
The Test Technician II is expected to perform routine testing and maintenance activities with limited supervision while supporting project execution, safety compliance, documentation, and customer service objectives. NETA certification is not required; however, candidates should possess the technical knowledge, field experience, and testing capabilities consistent with an intermediate-level electrical testing technician.
This role serves as a key field resource supporting project execution, customer relationships, technical quality, and operational excellence.
Pay: $40.00–$55.00 per hour
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities
Inspect, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and document work on:
Communicate findings, recommendations, and project status to supervisors, project managers, and customers.
Qualifications
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in electrical testing, field service, commissioning, industrial maintenance, electrical construction, utility operations, military electrical systems, or related power systems work.
Experience performing testing, inspection, troubleshooting, or maintenance on electrical power equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology, Power Systems, Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
Previous experience with electrical testing organizations, utilities, data centers, industrial facilities, or electrical contractors.

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces.
Ability to work in industrial facilities, substations, electrical rooms, construction sites, and outdoor environments.
Career Progression
The Test Technician II role serves as an intermediate technical position within the Electrical Power Services career path and may progress to Senior Test Technician, Lead Technician, NETA-Certified Technician, Project Manager, or other advanced technical leadership roles based on performance, experience, and business needs.
