Spectrolab, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company’s Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business unit has an exciting opportunity for an Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our dynamic team in Sylmar, California.

Position Responsibilities:
Repairs and maintains equipment and demonstrates experience in these areas.
Develops and monitors preventative maintenance plans.
Performs complex troubleshooting, analysis, inspection, disassembly, rebuild, modification and testing of factory machinery and equipment as necessary using knowledge in areas such as mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Works with electrical systems and electronic components of complex industrial machinery and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications.
Responds to and provides guidance related to routine and complex requests for equipment repair.
Maintains and manages component and replacement part inventories.
Follows safety procedures and regulations
Interprets schematics and diagrams
Works under Minimal supervision
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
High School Diploma or GED
1+ years’ experience in maintaining electrical, electronics, laser or hydraulic equipment, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD) reactors
Experience in vacuum system maintenance
Experience carrying out maintenance procedures while wearing SCBA supplied air protective equipment
Electrical knowledge and component level diagnostics
Experience in maintenance or repair of industrial equipment (semi-conductor processing, thermal chambers, automated handling, robotic equipment etc.)
Ability to create or maintain a periodic maintenance program in a production environment
Typical Education & Experience:
Associate Level (Level B)
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).
Mid-Level (Level C)
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range for Associate level: USD $49,300 – $66,700
Summary pay range for Mid-level: USD $56,950 – $77,050
