We are an Independent Service Provider seeking experienced drivers to fill local routes on a full-time basis working out of our South Baltimore(Halethorpe) terminal.
The position requires a significant level of organization, excellent attendance, high levels of performance in delivery and customer service, a positive and professional attitude, team spirit, and flexibility and persistence in the face of physical and mental challenges.
You must be able to work weekends for these positions due to the deliveries in residential areas. You will also have some deliveries for businesses on your route. Candidate must possess good organizational skills and time management to be considered for this position. Must also pass a federal background, MVR screening and extensive drug sreening.
Qualifications
A DOT physical exam is required if you do not have one.
Package Delivery Drivers must have excellent customer contact and driving skill
Qualified applicants must have a valid driver’s license issued in the state that they live
- 21+ years of age
1 year of Commercial or Military Driving Experience in the last 3 years is preferred
Pass an extensive criminal background check and drug screening
Have a clean driving record
Have a stable employment history with a record of good attendance
Must have reliable transportation to and from Sparrows Point/Baltimore, MD terminal daily.
Absences are NOT acceptable in this position
Have strong organizational skills
Responsibilities
This is a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position that involves continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages that typically weigh 25 - 35 lbs. You must be able to safely lift/carry up to 150 lbs. with a hand truck
There are 3 positions available.
Daily Duties
Perform daily Pre & Post inspection on vehicle
Put Safety First when driving- no cell phones, no texting, no speeding, no road rage
Work independently and as part of a team
Provide exceptional customer service
Accurately operate scanner/effectively track delivery process
Consistently deliver entire route in a timely manner
Communicate with your managers in a timely and appropriate
