SPA’s Sea Land Air (SLA) Division supports a diverse portfolio of national security government clients, including the Undersea Enterprise, the Navy Surface Community, the Navy MPTE Enterprise, the Army, DoD Agencies, DARPA, OSD, international clients including the Canadian Navy and Australian Defense Force. Our primary objective is to provide timely, objective and analytic assessments that integrate the policy, operational, technical, programmatic and acquisition aspects of our clients’ challenges.
Leveraging both in-domain and cross-domain expertise to maximize our clients’ success, SLA Division acts as trusted agents to senior decision-makers and key leaders and excels at providing data driven analytic insights, systems engineering, strategies and plans that address current and emerging challenges to national security.
Within the SLA Division, Integrated Warfare Systems Group (IWSG) comprises more than 80 staff that provide program and project management, systems and digital engineering, software, test & evaluation, logistics, cybersecurity, international/Foreign Military Sales, strategic communications, and IT support to more than 40 programs and projects in the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems, Above Water Sensors Directorate (PEO IWS 2.0) and customers in Naval Surface Warfare Dahlgren Division’s Integrated Combat System department, Office of Naval Research, and the Navy’s Team SUBS office.

Responsibilities:
SPA is seeking a dedicated mid-level T&E Engineer with an active DoD Secret clearance to provide Modeling and Simulation (M&S) support to the US Navy's Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems, Above Water Sensors & Lasers Directorate (PEO IWS 2.0).
You will provide technical and programmatic services and must have ability to understand and communicate effectively with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across all levels of government and industry. You will be expected to coordinate the highest priority M&S activities for the Directorate. This includes a wide-range of M&S assets, including: digital system representations, virtual twins, system level and combat system digital test beds throughout the detect to engage sequence, Systems Engineering (SE) and Test & Evaluation (T&E) tools, target simulations/stimulators, digital and hardware threat representations, atmospheric representations, scene generators, and data visualizations. You will be expected to maintain the Directorate's M&S strategy / roadmap, maintain and track M&S resources and a PEO IWS 2.0 M&S catalog, and coordinate, facilitate, and document the Verification, Validation, and Accreditation of PEO IWS 2.0 M&S assets.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Washington, DC Pay Transparency Range: $90,000 – $120,000.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or similar field
- 3+ years of relevant Modeling and Simulation experience, particularly in the area of DoD engineering or programmatic support
- Possess or meet eligibility for DOD SECRET security clearance
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Navy’s radar, electronic warfare, and/or combat systems
