Job Description
As the Director, Visa University Strategy and Operations (S&O), you will be responsible for the business operations of a revenue-generating client-learning business managed through five regional P&Ls. You will report to the VP of Visa University (VU), work alongside a leadership team of learning product, sales, marketing, technology and delivery leaders, and work closely with the Visa Advisory global S&O team, regional S&O leaders and the global and regional Finance teams. You will lead a team of direct and indirect reports.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of 8 direct and indirect reports and contractors.
Manage the standard operating procedures of the leadership team and extended team, including weekly leadership team meetings, monthly business reviews, quarterly all staffs and LT offsites.
Partner with global and regional Finance teams to forecast and report on revenue, expense and margin in five regions. This includes standard financial reporting and management reporting which allocates centralized cost for scalable products back to regions.
Manage the monthly billing and incentive (Value in Kind or VIK) draw down process across five regions.
Develop and manage dashboards that enable regional executives and S&O leaders to see forward-looking sales pipeline and backward-looking actuals against quarterly targets set in each region.
Manage the capture of all customer satisfaction survey results.
Develop and manage dashboards that enable VU leadership team members to continuously assess the effectiveness of the training programs they are designing, delivering, marketing and selling to improve their impact.
Manage large-scale cross-functional strategic projects through a small matrixed PMO team.
Partner with five regional pricing committees to establish new and manage existing product pricing strategy.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices and recommend technology to automate and scale learning operations.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop a high-performing team
- Commercial mindset and experience managing operations for a revenue-generating learning function within a corporate environment, ideally in the Tech industry
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data and insights to drive decision making and continuous improvement
- Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail
- Highly proficient in Excel and Power BI

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field. Master's degree or equivalent in Business or related field preferred
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 146,900.00 to 213,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
