KBR is seeking an experienced E-2 Weapons Systems Operator (Non-Flying) to support advanced test and evaluation activities for the U.S. Navy at Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD), Patuxent River, Maryland.
In this role, you will be a key member of the E-2 Integrated Test Team (ITT), supporting live and networked E-2 mission systems testing within the E-2 Systems Test and Evaluation Laboratory (ESTEL). Working in a highly collaborative environment alongside engineers, test conductors, and fleet stakeholders, you will help coordinate, execute, and support critical test events that contribute to the development, integration, and evaluation of E-2 mission capabilities. This position offers the opportunity to leverage operational E-2 expertise while directly supporting the advancement of Navy airborne command and control systems.
This is an onsite position located at NAS Patuxent River, MD. Occasional travel within the United States may be required, along with the flexibility to support test operations during non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends, as mission requirements dictate.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Tasking will include, but is not limited to: coordinating testing with NAVSEA and E2 test conductors and project engineers
- Attending scheduled and unscheduled meetings prior to test events
- Present briefs and prepare reports
- Prioritizing laboratory scheduling
- Ensuring equipment is available to meet data recording and test objectives, and overall readiness for testing (manning, funding, ATOs, etc.)
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree - 8 years of platform experience may be substituted in lieu of degree or an associate’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience.
- Understanding of E-2 tactical operations and weapon system use.
- Must have a working knowledge of computer networking or Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC).
- Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance within 12 months.
- Candidate must be willing to occasionally work off hours as required (Nights or Weekends). Some travel within the United States may be required. Position is located onsite NAS Patuxent River, MD within a laboratory environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of E-2 weapons systems operator course with one operational tour in a USN squadron.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience with E-2 systems.
Compensation: $105,000-$170,000. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
