Senior Specialist, Logistics Administration
Job Description
Collect information to analyze and evaluate aircraft maintenance and related aircraft and systems depot maintenance, inspections, and repair processes and procedures. Analyze and participate in development of logistics plans affecting the production, distribution, and inventory of aircraft. Maintain appropriate records and prepare reports. Coordinate logistics activities with internal/external customers. Oversee the completion of projects including planning; assigning, monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work; evaluating results, etc. Provide activity and status reports to management. Direct and lead lower-level employees. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience
- BA/BS degree in Business Administration or related field. 8 years of practical experience. 8 years of military experience in the relative field can be substituted for a BA/BS degree In lieu of formal education, at least 12 years of progressive experience in a related field.
- Knowledge of aircraft weapon systems Maintenance Data Collection Systems strongly desired.
- Experience as a maintainer, technician, logistician, maintenance planner/scheduler, supply manager, or equipment specialist is required.
- Applicant must possess experience in the following: MS Office, Field Maintenance Command & Control (FMxC2) (G081), Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) word processing, data management and records keeping.
- Successful applicant must be capable of working independently and in a team environment and possess good communication skills, both written and oral.
- Applicant will be expected to occasionally brief results to other team members and to KBR Management, and our customers.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance is required
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Utilize GO81, IMDS and BLADE to research, retrieve, validate, and analyze aircraft and weapon system maintenance data.
- Collect data and evaluate system, subsystem and parts reliability, maintainability, supportability requirements and issues regarding Critical Safety Items (CSI’s).
- Prepare detailed charts/diagrams outlining maintenance and supply requirements and processes using Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Visio/Project.
- Develop recurring and ad hoc maintenance reports using information obtained from GO81, IMDS, Microsoft Excel, Power Query, and other data-analysis tools.
- Transform raw maintenance records into actionable information for leadership and weapon system stakeholders.
- Support integrity programs and processes to determine and document the supportability analysis required regarding supply and maintenance needs.
- Serve as liaison between customer, team members and technical staff, user and depot maintenance representatives, and supply chain members to document needs, define requirements, and provide problem identification and resolution.
- Input and analyze data to assist in ensuring mechanical and avionics systems, subsystems and component integrity is maintained for the weapon systems operational service life.
- Utilize database systems and application documentation as directed.
- Recommend service life extension programs, scheduled maintenance, modifications, inspections, repairs, and/or technical order changes as necessary to keep the weapon system viable.
- Maintain confidentiality about the information being processed.
- Provide support and research to resolve projected parts, maintenance and technical data issues.
- Investigate parts supportability regarding future diminishing parts issues.
- Perform other similar duties as assigned in support of the Integrity Programs.
