You will lead critical material and planning operations that ensure the seamless delivery of advanced mission systems to our customers, directly supporting national security and operational readiness.
THE WORK
As a Multifunctional Manufacturing Planner Associate Manager, you will lead the Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) functions, overseeing make/buy decisions, bill of materials (BOM) planning, and master production scheduling to ensure systemic integrity. You will manage a team responsible for warehousing and shipping logistics, driving inventory optimization to minimize costs and maximize efficiency across the production lifecycle.
Responsibilities include:
• Manage comprehensive manufacturing planning and material management activities to support critical production job functions.
• Oversee the integrity of production systems and drive inventory optimization strategies to reduce costs.
• Lead the recruitment, selection, and training of subordinate employees, ensuring a high-performing team.
• Direct performance assessments, work assignments, and recognition programs in compliance with corporate policies and labor agreements.
• Execute and monitor MRP transactions, including BOM maintenance and master production scheduling.
• Coordinate warehousing and shipping logistics, including receipt, picking, and outbound procedures.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, procurement, and operations to resolve bottlenecks and improve throughput.
• Implement lean and continuous improvement methodologies, such as Six-Sigma or Kaizen, to enhance process efficiency.
• Guide the organization through major change initiatives, such as ERP implementations or process transformations.
• Translate high-level business objectives into actionable operational plans to meet customer demands.
• Mentor talent within a union-represented environment to foster a culture of accountability and professional growth.

You are a strategic leader with a deep technical mastery of MRP systems and a proven ability to guide cross-functional teams through complex operational challenges. You excel at blending analytical problem-solving with strong interpersonal skills to drive efficiency and maintain high standards of production integrity.
A level 4 employee typically has 5+ years of professional experience.
