We are looking for a talented Health, Safety and Environment Risk Support Practitioner to join our team specializing in HSE for our Distribution Business.
Job Summary:
Implement and sustain a positive health, safety and environmental culture through the application of the management systems framework in moderately complex site(s). This includes establishing the short term and long-term strategic plan for the site to foster continual health, safety and environmental Improvement, leading programs, policies and assessments and monitoring performance to ensure compliance with Cummins internal requirements, applicable health, safety and environmental regulations and industry standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
Provide hands-on support to regional sites for implementing health, safety, and environmental programs, initiatives, and tools to achieve regional objectives and targets.
- Represent the region in collaboration with global teams to drive continuous improvement through program, policy, and procedure development.
- Coach sites in implementing health, safety, environmental, and sustainability hazard and risk controls through procedures, administrative controls, engineering controls, education, and awareness programs.
- Solve non-routine and common health, safety, environment, and sustainability problems across the region while driving standardization and best practice implementation.
- Lead or participate in regional health, safety, environment, and sustainability audits, supporting sites before and after audits to ensure preparedness and conformance.
- Coach and mentor local site health, safety, environment, and sustainability resources, identifying opportunities for growth and professional development.
- Provide hands-on support for local incident investigations of severe incidents while meeting reporting obligations.
- Lead the management and evaluation of regional health, safety, environment, and sustainability suppliers and consultants.
- Execute health, safety, environment, and sustainability communication objectives to achieve the global communication strategy.
- Travel routinely to sites within the region and manage all aspects of travel.
Education, Licenses, Certifications (Cant change since its coded to GPP):
- Bachelor’s Degree or university equivalent required. Health and Safety and/or Environmental degree preferred.
Experience:
- Significant relevant HSE experience required. 5-7 years of experience. Previous experience working across various countries within the region preferred. Progress toward professional certification, preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Significant relevant experience required, including management of health, safety and/or environmental ISO Standards required. 5-7 years of experience, 1-2 years management experience.
- Must be located in the continental USA, ideally located in Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, or New York
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range: $100,000-$150,000
Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
