Position Overview
Mass. Electric Construction Co. is seeking a Revit Drafter/Designer. The ideal candidate will initially be responsible for assisting with drafting according to the given specifications and requirements. With experience, the successful candidate has the potential to be a project manager or higher and build out a team. The position requires coordinating between our clients, project managers, and other staff. The candidate should be someone that is an effective communicator and multi-tasker who works well in a fast-paced office environment.

Location
This role is based out of our Irvine CA office
Responsibilities
• Model and coordinate electrical, low voltage, and control systems.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for the successful design, coordination, and delivery of projects.
• Use Navisworks for clash detection and coordination.
• Update model content based on redlines and as-builts
• Review of design drawings and submittals
• Develop plans and specifications with resolutions for solving unique issues
• Responding to contractor RFIs
• Reviewing shop drawings and construction submittals
• Performing construction site field observations reports
• Preparing punch lists during various stages of construction
• Maintain project tracking numbers and metrics
• Identify prefab opportunities
• Perform QA/QC for all deliverables
Qualifications
• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel);
• Proficiency with Bluebeam and ability to review electrical drawing packages and provide markups within the PDFs
• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk suite software including Revit, Navisworks, and BIM360/ACC.
• Ability to read and understand electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and floorplans.
• Basic understanding of fire alarm and security systems.
• Able to produce electrical floorplans and conduit routing plans for construction packages
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70 codes, and state and local codes.
• Personal, reliable transportation is a MUST
Preferred Qualifications
• 4 years of working knowledge of Revit in the electrical discipline is highly desired
• Experience with preparing “for construction” drawing packages and coordinating with other discipline drawings and models
• Able to perform lighting photometry calculations
• Experience with Dynamo is a plus
• Journeyman Electrician license is a plus (all states welcome)
• Direct field experience
• Creation and modification of Revit families
• Experience on large industrial projects and transportation projects

Base Compensation: $100,000 - $125,000
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
