The ideal Candidate must possess extensive knowledge of launch and range systems integration, project management and launch site operations. Required experience in designing and developing instructor-led and/or web-based training courses and associated materials including slides, diagrams, student guides, practical activities, and assessments. Desired experience as a Launch Operations Instructor and proficiency with personnel certification and evaluation guidelines and unit inspection preparation. Highly preferred systems engineering experience in use of Jira/Confluence, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), MS products (Excel), etc. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Develop, implement, validate and update SLD 30 training programs and materials for spacelift acquisitions, engineering, operations, and maintenance IAW AFI 36-2651 and SLD 30 training guidance. Products include, but are not limited to, training plans, computer-based training, virtual reality-based training, classroom training, scenario-based exercises, on-the-job training, launch rehearsals, implementation plans, performance evaluation reports and improvement plans. Training programs support the familiarization, qualification, and certification of unit personnel in addition to meet recurring training and certification requirements. Track updates to training requirements associated with personnel qualification, certification, professional development, and ancillary training. Provide recommendations to ensure program compliance and implement approved changes, to include, but not limited to, updating training plans, databases, records and checklists. Evaluate and update training products to comply with requirements of AFMAN 36-2234, Instructional Systems Development. Annually assess instructional products and provide comments to improve accuracy, completeness, efficiency, and effectiveness and implement updates approved by the squadron. Inspect, maintain, and update individual training records, ensuring that the data is current and accurate. Record systems include, but are not limited to, those in the SLD 30 learning management system (LMS), Training Business Area (TBA) and Advanced Distributed Learning Service (ADLS). Assess SLD 30 training against SLD 45 training and provide recommendations for updates and implementation to maintain consistency and gain efficiencies. Develop, execute, and update scenario-based exercises and mission rehearsals. Evaluate the SLD 30 team during rehearsals, shadow operations, exercises, and Day of Launch and provide recommendations and/or lessons learned to improve the effectiveness of SLD 30 operations and training. Serve as an active member in the Rehearsal Anomaly Team (RAT) to develop and execute anomaly scenarios and scripts for Space Force Day of Launch rehearsals. Serve as systems engineering and project management team member for Range innovation and improvement initiatives. Evaluate new missions assigned to the SLD 30 and provide training recommendations on how to support unique mission requirements. Interpret customer needs and through collaboration with subject matter experts and independent research, support the development of effective, high-quality training materials on matters pertaining to launch & range operation standards. Assist the Chief of Training in the administration of all training courseware including scripts, tests, job aids, lesson plans, academic presentations, and other training audio visual support material. Provide metrics as requested related to the quality, timeliness, and applicability of conducted training to include error analysis, review board processes, and root cause analysis assistance. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree 7 years as training developer, program manager, acquisitions in relevant areas 5 years of NSSL, Launch/Range, DoD, or NASA training development experience. Must be a US Citizen Clearance Requirements: Must have and be able to maintain a current active DoD TS/SCI clearance. Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%. Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The projected compensation range for this position is $121,800-$204,100. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
