Job Title: Salesforce Consultant (Contract Basis)

Aqueduct Technologies is seeking a Salesforce Consultant on behalf of a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing critical work in the fight against some of the most challenging health conditions. This organization collaborates with leading research institutions and scientists to accelerate breakthroughs in prevention, detection, and treatment.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Salesforce Consultant to join our client’s team on a contract basis. This role involves supporting a small but impactful organization with no dedicated IT staff. You will be responsible for building, configuring, and maintaining a Salesforce CRM system focused on sales and grants management. A key initiative of this role will be to create specific reporting that aligns with the organization’s key metrics, ensuring that leadership has the insights they need to make informed decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Salesforce, with the ability to perform basic configurations, manage data, and train the team on using the system effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and manage a Salesforce CRM tailored to sales and grants management needs.
- Build and maintain a database for managing contact and grant information.
- Develop and implement reporting that aligns with the organization’s key metrics, providing leadership with critical insights.
- Handle minor Salesforce configurations without the need for complex customizations.
- Perform data management tasks, including data entry, cleanup, and troubleshooting.
- Develop systems to ensure data security and redundancy.
- Implement a system for tracking and reporting on funding activities.
- Train the team on the effective use and management of the Salesforce system.
- Work closely with leadership to translate their needs into practical Salesforce solutions.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Salesforce configuration, especially in CRM and grants management systems.
- Strong data management skills, including database maintenance and data cleanup.
- Ability to design and implement reports that align with key organizational metrics.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience working in settings with minimal IT support, ideally within a nonprofit or research-focused organization.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical staff.
- Junior-level experience with a solid foundation in Salesforce and CRM systems.
Contract Details:
- Type: Hourly contract
- Duration: 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and needs.
