The Opportunity:
As part of the VAS Risk and Identity Solutions (RaIS), in this position, you will be an individual team member of Identity and Access Management Platform Team contributing to the backend development to enable secure access to Visa digital solutions through all types of channels – web, mobile, and device. You will be a key contributor to the innovations in the B2C Consumer and Device spaces. The position is based in Austin, TX, USA
The Work itself:
- Design code and systems that touch 40% of the world population while influencing Visa’s internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability
- Collaborate cross-functionally to create design artifacts and develop best-in-class software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings
- Actively contribute to product quality improvements, value added service technology, and new business flows in diverse agile squads
- Develop robust and scalable products intended for a myriad of customers including end-user customers, merchants, B2C and B2B solutions.
- Leverage innovative technologies to build the next generation of Payment Services and Identity and Authentication platform

Job Description
Essential Functions.
- Working closely with engineering leads, engineers, product manager, architects and client support teams, one should lead product development throughout the entire development cycle. This role requires logical thinking, possesses a breadth of knowledge on applying technology, quick troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Consistently apply sound engineering practices leading to improved business outcomes
- Mentor team members. Conducts project level design reviews and guides the team through adjustments if necessary
- Work closely with product owners, architects, and product managers to drive and facilitate feature, user story grooming, functional and technical specifications, workflow designs and use cases. Provide necessary solution architecture and design artifacts on time
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and proactively assess and evaluate the adoption thereof into the organization
- Perform proof of concepts and other technical evaluations on new technologies, designs, and solutions
- Be flexible to accommodate cross region team development time and address urgent production issues

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Master's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or Computer Science, Information Systems or related field AND minimum three (3) years of experience in a directly related field.
OR
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or Computer Science, Information Systems or related field AND minimum five (5) years of experience in a directly related field.
OR
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience in Java and web service development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Tracked records of delivering scalable applications.
- In-depth knowledge in web services standards and related technologies, REST API, Microservices, Containers.
- Solid understanding of database technologies including SQL, JPA.
- Strong foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to respond resourcefully to new demands, priorities, and challenges.
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and leadership skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills.
- Ability to present ideas precisely and convey development concepts related to network, application, and systems to both technical and non technical audiences.
- Strong teamwork-focus and the ability to foster collaboration within and across teams and across geographies.
- Passionate about learning and taking on new initiatives and takes pride in delivering quality software.
- Experience in Identity solutions like oAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, security tokens (JWS, JWE, access token, id token) or other IAM is a big plus.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 119,100.00 to 172,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
