Title:
Lead Contracts Engineer
Position Overview: The Lead Contracts Engineer will act as a focal point for EPC tendering activities, preparing RFT documents with the support of the Project Management Team. The role involves preparing contractual correspondence and various procedures, as well as providing assistance in the preparation of agreements and reviewing contract-related notices and claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a focal point for EPC tendering activities.
- Prepare RFT documents with the support of the Project Management Team.
- Prepare contractual correspondence.
- Develop and maintain procedures for:
- Contract Trend Notices (CTN)
- Invoicing
- Procurement
- Subcontracting
- Assist in the preparation of:
- EPC agreements
- Licensor agreements
- Novation of agreements
- Purchase orders for equipment packages
- Amendments to agreements or variation orders
- Contracting strategies
- Review and provide advice to the Project Management Team for CTNs and delay claims.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all contract activities.
- Prepare and present contract management reports.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve contract-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in law or Master’s in Contracts Management or Master’s Degree in Arbitration or Bachelor’s in Engineering
- Any one of the following certifications: Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Certified International Commercial Contracts Manager (CICCM), or Certified Contract Manager (FIDIC-CCM).
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in ADNOC PMC as Lead Contracts Engineer or Manager Contracts.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with EPC Contractor as Manager Contracts, preferably with ADNOC projects.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Engineering Consultant as Manager Contracts, preferably with ADNOC projects.
Skills:
- Proficient in the preparation of official letters.
- Strong understanding of contract law and contract management principles.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in contract management software and tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in managing contracts within ADNOC projects.
