Conducts or participates in the research, design, development, and testing of COTS or custom computing hardware and/or other electrical components. Develops designs for the installation of components and assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets,workstations, customer facilities, and/or shelters. Plans, directs, reviews and coordinates preparation of project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met. Prepares specifications, evaluates vendors, and analyzes test reports.
The successful candidate will be called to work based out of CFB Halifax, Stadacona and will be part of the Halifax Class Combat System Integration In-Service Support (CSI ISS) Program.
Functioning within in a multi-disciplined team environment the candidate will be responsible for designing modifications to naval combat systems, land based test sites and training facilities on behalf of the customer. They will be involved in the complete engineering life cycle from specification, design, deployment, test, maintenance and field troubleshooting for systems and capabilities of a high complexity naval combat system.
