The selected individual will be a System Engineer for an enterprise WAN solution: DarkStar! They will be responsible for the support of Multi Level Security system (computation and storage), software, scheduling, and research applications. Responsibilities for System Administration on multiple system platforms and hardware to include but not limited to Red Hat (with SELinux policies enabled), and Windows. Knowledge and familiarity with San Storage Hardware and System configuration as well as Windows OS is required. Experience working both Windows and Linux is required to be successful on this program.
Candidate must be comfortable working in environment supporting a large number of different platforms which range from enterprise servers to small/midsize servers and supercomputers. Candidate will be responsible for system installations, upgrades, configurations, software installation, troubleshooting, user interface and support, etc. Knowledge of various protocols such as DNS, SMTP, NFS, FTP, Telnet, ssh, and etc protocols and system network tuning and configuration.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience Developing Splunk Apps, Dashboards, & Deployment
• Experience with Splunk indexes, defining retention periods, & log forwarding
• Experience with Splunk Web servers, configuration files
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8/9 Administration and Configuration
• Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly across organization boundaries
• Self-starter with the ability to spot potential for process improvement
• Capable of building effective relationships with teams and subject matter experts
• Security + Certification
• DOD Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Experience using RHEL7/8/9 with SELinux enabled
• Experience customizing and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux Common Operating Environment (COE) to meet various customer requirements (DISA STIGs, DCID 6/3, NNSA regulations, etc.)
• Scripting with Python, Perl, and/or shell proficiency
• System Configuration and Hardening
• Experience with ICD-503
• Experience with Domain Capable Windows/Linux/Virtualization
• Splunk Certification(s), such as Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin and/or Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect, a plus

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $82,200 - $157,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
