THE WORK
The Systems Administrator will support the Combat Rescue Helicopter contract at Moody AFB, GA. The selected candidate will install servers and clients, configure operating systems, services, applications, storage, virtualization, and custom software in support of test, training, and cybersecurity evaluations of DoD systems and associated computing environments. Performs extensive system administration duties including the analysis of systems, applications, and network performance to identify and resolve hardware or software related problems in a manner that minimizes impacts to the customer's mission. Significant interaction with other technicians/engineers to implement security designs and approaches to resolve vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, and recommend security changes to system or system components as needed. Responsibilities include analysis of systems and associated applications to provide the highest level of availability and performance to meet the customers mission objectives. Installation of approved Commercial off the shelf (COTS), Government off the shelf (GOTS), and custom developed software. Performance of general system administration duties including managing user accounts, answering technical questions, and applying updates or patches. Interfaces with others in a cohesive team environment. Creates and documents installation and startup procedures for existing and future applications. A self-starter able to work independently and in a team environment.

Basic Qualifications:
• Solid understanding of server administration, server architecture, specifications, software, networking, virtualization
• Experience with Domain architecture including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Domain Trust, and file share management
• Experience with common industry operating systems such as Windows, Server 2008-19, Linux, Solaris, RHEL, & CentOS
• Solution implementation for Advanced Computer Security Directives and Requirements (e.g., Risk Management Framework (RMF)), STIG's
• Working knowledge virtualization technologies including VMWare ESXi VSphere/Horizon and Microsoft Hyper-Visor
• Hands-on experience administering servers, desktops, thin-clients, including industry standard vendor hardware such as Dell, HP, and Oracle
• Current/Active CompTIA Security+ Certification (e.g., DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification or higher). (Note: Active certification would need to be obtained prior to establishing a start date.)

Desired Skills:
• System administration experience in DoD environments, including requirements analysis, design, hardware evaluation, configuration, and test of custom software and configurations.
• Certifications: CompTIA Network+ and other relevant certifications, Microsoft, Linux, Oracle, and VMWare.
• Scripting skills/experience (including Python, Linux shell, Java, PowerShell +, then Java/C++/Perl for other I&T)
• Microsoft Exchange or other Email Services and Chat Servers and clients

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
