Overview
We are seeking a motivated Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the daily operation, maintenance, cleanliness, and overall upkeep of our facility. This position combines routine custodial responsibilities with hands-on building maintenance tasks. It is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a general maintenance background who are eager to expand their skills and develop into a fully qualified Facilities Maintenance Technician.
Shift: Monday through Friday, 8 hours a day.
Location: Near S. Loop E and Martin Luther King Blvd.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine custodial duties, including:
- Cleaning and maintaining offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas
- Emptying trash and recycling containers
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting facility spaces
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment
- Assist with building maintenance and repair activities, including:
- Basic carpentry repairs
- Plumbing maintenance and troubleshooting
- HVAC system support and preventative maintenance
- Electrical repairs and equipment maintenance
- General facility inspections and upkeep
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Identify and report facility issues that require repair or replacement
- Follow safety procedures and company policies
- Support special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- General knowledge of building maintenance and repair practices
- Basic understanding of one or more trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials as required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
