Program Summary
KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey. Our services ensure smooth operations, allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.
Job Summary
Performs scheduled/unscheduled inspections and unscheduled maintenance on all assigned Aerospace Ground Equipment. Inspects, tests, and operates AGE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation. Diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications. Removes, disassembles repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls AGE accessories and components. Services equipment with fuel, oil, coolant, water, hydraulic fluid, and air. Operates, cleans, inspects, and services AGE towing vehicles. Maintains vehicle forms. Provide customer service to department, company, and government personnel.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Accomplish maintenance actions IAW applicable work cards and Technical Orders (TO).
- Perform all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all equipment IAW required standards (i.e., Technical Orders (TOs) and/or commercial manuals)
- Perform towing movement of AGE, drive vehicles as required.
- If certified welds AGE as required.
- Responsible for other assigned associated duties and those assigned by a supervisor.
- Solves repair problems by studying drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics, and technical publications.
- Analyzes and repairs ground support equipment.
- Troubleshoot or bench-check all inoperable equipment or components IAW applicable TO’s to determine the cause of the malfunction.
- Perform simple tasks using a computer and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook.
- Provides dispatch service for AGE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations.
- Strictly adheres to US Air Force Technical Orders and Safety Directives.
- Use the following: Electronic test equipment (voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency meters, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, electrical soldering tools, composite tools (general hand tools), technical orders, electronic publications (Etool), HAZMAT (proper, storing, handling & disposal), operate equipment tugs, forklifts and vehicles as needed (includes movement of AGE), computers.
- Work in normal and adverse weather conditions, at heights up to 7 meters, high noise areas.
- Work with high pressure equipment 5,000psi and electrical equipment up to 440VAC.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Physical requirements include light lifting of up to 30 kilograms, and for heavy lifting of items up to 50 kilograms, proper handling equipment is utilized, working in cramped positions and standing for long periods of time.

- Moderate exposure to dust, vibrations, fumes, harsh chemicals, odors, pollens and grasses, grease, machinery and moving parts, sitting and driving for long periods, bending, stooping, on knees, with occasional exposure to hazardous work conditions.
Basic Qualifications
- High School/COU/FPII required.
- Must be able to read, comprehend, speak, and write in the English language level B2. Technical Data is written in English.
- 3 years of experience in AGE or similar field.
- Shall meet the qualifications AGE repairman or civilian equivalent.
- Possess a valid class B driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver’s license.
