Who You Are
Provide direction to and supervision of discipline construction craft and provide coordination of other crafts to insure proper execution of work in a safe and productive manner. Maintain safety, productivity, quality, and cost in accordance with project standards and specifications. Plan and coordinate craft labor requirements. Assist in forecasting and planning tool, equipment, and material requirements.
This role will be located in Chantilly, VA, and will be expected to travel between our facilities in Chantilly and Springfield, VA. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
What You’ll Do
As an Electrician Supervisor, you will:
- Provide Supervision and Direction: Lead and supervise construction craft personnel in the electrical discipline, ensuring effective execution of tasks.
- Coordinate with Other Crafts: Coordinate the activities of electricians with other crafts to ensure proper integration and completion of projects.
- Maintain Project Standards: Uphold safety, productivity, quality, and cost standards in accordance with project specifications and objectives.
- Plan Labor Requirements: Plan and coordinate craft labor requirements, scheduling and assigning tasks to meet project timelines and objectives.
- Forecast and Plan Resources: Assist in forecasting and planning for tools, equipment, and materials needed for electrical tasks and projects.
- Enforce Safety Protocols: Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with strict safety protocols, conducting regular safety briefings and inspections.
- Monitor Work Quality: Oversee the quality of electrical work, ensuring it meets or exceeds project standards and compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Identify and resolve technical and logistical problems encountered by the electrical team during construction activities.
- Provide Technical Guidance: Offer expert advice and technical guidance to the team, ensuring they are trained on the latest electrical standards and practices.
- Report Progress and Challenges: Regularly report to project management on progress, challenges, and the status of the electrical work to ensure transparency and prompt resolution of issues.
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Must possess an active U.S Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as required.
- Experience in Electrical Installation and Maintenance: Several years (typically 5+ years) of experience working as an electrician in industrial, commercial, or construction settings.
- Supervisory Experience: Prior experience in a supervisory role managing a team of electricians or other craft workers, typically at least 3 years.
- Master's degree required.
- Certified Journeyman Electrician: Must have completed an apprenticeship and obtained certification as a journeyman electrician.
- Supervisory Training: Completion of courses or certifications in leadership or management is highly recommended.
- Safety Certification: Training and certification in electrical safety, OSHA standards, and other relevant safety protocols.
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Must possess an active U.S Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as required.
- Ability to maximize technical, performance, and operational efficiencies and minimize lifecycle costs.
- Ability to maximize services and capabilities, provisioned as a service.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills.
