At Williams, we’re powering a cleaner, more connected future, and that starts with you. Here, your work fuels communities, drives innovation, and helps deliver reliable energy the world depends on. Join a Fortune 500 team that invests in your growth, values your contributions, and challenges you to make a lasting impact every day.
As Manager of Projects, you will be responsible for the successful development and execution of multiple sophisticated maintenance capital programs and projects at operating power generation facilities, involving collaborative solutions with plant operations, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), contractors, and other internal and external partners. Focus areas may include gas turbines, reciprocating engines, generators, transformers, switchgear, substations and switchyards, controls, and balance-of-plant systems. Knowledge of project scheduling and forecasting, the ability to collaborate with internal and external business partners, and the desire to nurture a team environment are keys to success!
In this role within Williams’ growing Power organization, you’ll lead the team that delivers our maintenance capital program: the planned investment we make in operating power generation facilities to keep them safe, reliable, and available, including equipment repairs, replacements, upgrades, and reliability improvements. You’ll own the maintenance capital plan, align the right project managers to the right projects, and partner closely with plant operations leadership so that work is prioritized and scheduled around planned outages and maintenance cycles. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has executed work on operating assets, understands how operations and maintenance teams think, and wants to build and develop a project team as the organization grows across multiple regions.

- Assigns project managers to projects based on scope, location, and experience, balancing workload and building team capacity as the organization grows
- Serves as an extension of the operations and maintenance teams, partnering closely with plant operations leadership to prioritize scope and align project timing with outages, maintenance cycles, and operational needs
- Establishes consistent project risk assessment practices for equipment maintenance and replacement work, and ensures mitigation plans address safety, operational, schedule, and cost risk
- Coordinates with OEMs, service providers, and contractors on major equipment inspections, overhauls, and long-lead equipment procurement such as turbine components, generators, and transformers
- Ensures maintenance capital work supports unit availability and reliability, including testing, commissioning, and safe return-to-service and turnover to plant operations following outages
