Job Description:
Senior LabVIEW Developer
Develop software in LabVIEW programming environment for sensor acquisition and actuator control systems. Design, develop, document, test, and debug applications software and systems for onboard ship and submarine research. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of National Instruments data acquisition modules and LabVIEW software. Conduct Independent Verification and Validation of existing LabVIEW software. Conduct testing with actual system hardware and document test results. Conduct troubleshooting of existing LabVIEW systems in a development / test lab environment. Some travel (< 20%) required to test sites for software system installation, checkout, operation, and troubleshooting.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: Bachelors Degree
- Required Experience: 7+ years of experience specializing in LabVIEW software development
- Required Technical Skills:
Certified LabVIEW developer (CLD) - Certified LabVIEW architect (CLA) preferred
Familiarity with developing for a wide range of NI products especially DAQmx, FPGA based even better
- Security Clearance Level: Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance
- Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong software documentation and verbal communication skills
Experience with integrating hardware components with software development.
Understand how to read a schematic.
Ability to use electrical hardware such as power supplies, oscilloscopes and DMM.
Experience in developing and troubleshooting hardware in the Loop (HIL) systems.

The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
