Description:Performs the collection, consolidation, and transportation of hazardous waste. Receives, identifies, classifies, consolidates, segregates, weighs, and samples containerized waste for storage and subsequent transportation for disposal, utilizing material handling, safety, and personal protective equipment. Exercises knowledge of safety and environmental regulations pertaining to the management and disposal of such hazardous wastes in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, and Company procedures. Performs the containerizing, labeling, and transportation of wastes to and from temporary storage areas and completes necessary electronic inventory control transactions.
Segregates and/or consolidates solid waste and consolidates compatible chemicals at storage site. Prepares accumulated waste materials for disposal by transporting or arranging for transportation of reusable products to Conservation Sales, or by preparing and packing containers with compatible materials for shipment to the storage or disposal site. Inputs data for documentation on hazardous waste materials and provides status reports as required. Inspects and monitors container integrity and facility condition for leakage, proper labeling, and safety compliance. Reports problems and makes corrections according to defined procedures. Performs housekeeping to maintain clean and orderly work area. Responds to spills, leaks, or damaged containers, and carries out emergency response procedures. Coordinates with Material Management supervision to schedule waste shipments to disposal facilities.
Must be able to work in personal protective equipment, up to and including Level A when required.
Must be able to operate mobile equipment in the shipping and handling of waste as required. Must be able to operate power trucks, lift trucks, and/or light trucks, extended boom platforms and tripod extraction devices to collect waste containers or waste from waste site and collection containers.
Must be able to work in all temperatures.
Must pass a yearly medical surveillance physical examination.
May operate standard office machines, electronic container tracking system, and/or trucking system equipment incidental to the duties set forth.
Required to operate electronic data entry, storage, processing, and/or retrieval equipment as a routine part of accomplishing regular job assignments.
Basic Qualifications:Two years of experience in hazardous waste handling and working with technical and regulatory data.
Experience with chemical storage practices, procedures, and safety requirements.
Experience with determining class, type and identification of chemicals and hazardous waste.
Experience operating a forklift.
Desired Skills:Experience handling hazardous waste in accordance with applicable regulations.
40 Hour HazWoper Training.
Experience operating a forklift.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
